Artex Overboarding

If it's not safe to remove Artex, or if my customer is not sure if their Artex contains asbestos or not, I recommend over-boarding to be on the safe side.

Over-boarding is the process of fixing plasterboard to the entire Artex surface (usually the ceiling) to cover the Artex. The gaps are taped to prevent cracking then the whole surface is plastered. This creates a smooth, even, high quality finish, ready for painting.
